I am a committed and effective educator, leading the development of engaging, inclusive, and authentic learning experiences that support the growth of core employment capabilities in Optometry graduates, including communication, clinical reasoning, and safe therapeutic prescribing.

I have led the development and implementation of innovative teaching approaches, including digital simulations, conversational AI tools, actor-based communication workshops, and case-based learning activities that provide students with opportunities to practise complex clinical skills in realistic contexts.

I have substantial experience in assessment design and leadership, including the development of clinical reasoning assessments, workplace-integrated learning experiences, and feedback processes that support learner growth and professional identity formation. My teaching extends beyond the classroom through leadership of rural clinical placements that prepare graduates for contemporary practice across diverse settings.
