RESEARCH INTERESTS

My research in health professions education focuses on the development of clinical reasoning and the influence of cognitive bias on decision-making in optometry. I am particularly interested in translating research into practice by designing and evaluating authentic educational innovations, including assessment strategies, immersive simulation-based learning experiences, and digital technologies that support development of complex clinical skills. Through this work, I aim to improve learner preparedness, reduce diagnostic error, and enhance patient-centred care.
