Citation for Outstanding Contributions to Students - Australian Awards for University Teaching (AAUT) 2019-2020 in recognition for “an innovative program in Education Business Leadership that inspires students to develop business acumen and addresses equity issues for professional staff in education”

Faculty of Arts and Education Executive Dean Recognition Award 2022 for my sustained contribution to the nationally accredited, mandated capstone assessment the Deakin Teacher Performance Assessment (DTPA).

The program fosters professional learning and cross-Faculty collaboration through events focused on Student-Centred Learning, Digital Tools (including generative AI), Authentic Assessment, and Multi-Modal Engagement. I am co-leading the stream “The Engagement Equation: Empowering Online + In-Class Exploration” addressing real problems of practice through co-design, inquiry cycles, and action research.

Elected representative from the Faculty of Arts and Education in the Deakin Re-Thinking Assessment Think Tank 2025. A major focus area in the Deakin Education and Employability 2024-2026 Guiding Plan. My contributions extend to working as part of the strategic stream (Stream1) in reconceptualising assessment and developing distinctive models of assessment for Deakin. The project aims to create a roadmap for integrating new assessment approaches into policies and practices.
