BIO

Dr Fernando is an expert in the areas of Internet of Things (IoT) and Software Engineering, with a research focus that bridges technical innovation and societal impact. Her work spans pervasive and distributed computing, Internet of Things (IoT) systems, and the integration of intelligent technologies into real-world applications.

With over $1.35 million in research funding and more than 3,000 citations to date, Niroshinie has led projects resulting in commercialised outcomes beyond the contribution to academic research.
