Contemporary perspectives on research in roles such as mine point towards the scholarship of academic development practice, the scholarship of teaching and learning, and the scholarship of leadership and organizational development. A review of my research-based practices and my publications across my career shows that I have been successful in being published across these different dimensions of my responsibilities as well as being successful with disciplinary and cross disciplinary research collaborations. I have sustained research collaborations across my career including my time at Deakin with collaborators in different faculties as well as with collaborators from other universities. A review of my Google Scholar Profile will show more than 100 research outputs along with significant h-index and i-10 index scores. Moving forwards across 2026 and beyond I will be putting a particular focus on the scholarship of critical educational development which can be understood in terms of questions to do with whose knowledge is valued in education, who benefits from current teaching practices and systems, and how power, inequality, and institutional norms shape teaching and learning?.
