TEACHING EXPERTISE
Dr Emily Tomlinson is an experienced nursing educator with a strong focus on developing capable, confident graduates who are prepared for the realities of contemporary healthcare. Her teaching spans leadership, clinical decision-making, ageing and delirium care, and the integration of emerging technologies such as generative AI into nursing practice.
Her teaching interests include:
- Delirium including how to prevent and recognise delirium, non-pharmacological management and reducing the use of antipsychotic medications
- Nursing Care (medical/surgical; acute, sub-acute and community settings)
- Evidence Based Practice
She is available for Honours and Master supervision.
