BIO

Dr Antonina Mikocka-Walus is Professor of Health Psychology and Deputy Head of School, School of Psychology. She is a psychologist with expertise in clinical health psychology, behavioural medicine and psychosomatic medicine. Her particular research interest is in developing behavioural solutions for persistent pelvic pain in the context of gastroenterology and gynaecology.

 

She graduated in psychology from the University of Warsaw, international political and economic relations from Warsaw School of Economics and Sciences Politiques de Paris, and medicine from the University of Adelaide. After completing her doctorate, she held a postdoctoral position
in epidemiology and neuropsychology at Monash University. She later held senior roles at the University of South Australia and the University of York in the UK. She started her appointment at Deakin University in October 2016.
