BIO
Dr. Kavame Eroglu is conducting research on and teaching Corporate Law, Corporate Governance, and Financial Regulation. Through her research, she provides comparative insights into the evolving landscape of corporate and finance laws, focusing on the dynamic interplay between national and international mechanisms shaping laws and regulations. Her scholarship has been published in prominent journals including the Australian Journal of Corporate Law, Journal of Banking and Finance Law and Practice, New Zealand Universities Law Review, Northwestern Journal of International Law and Business, The George Washington International Law Review, University of Pennsylvania Journal of International Law, and Vanderbilt Journal of Transnational Law.
Dr. Kavame Eroglu first studied Business Administration (BBA) at Istanbul University, then worked in accounting and finance, and later studied Bachelor of Laws (LL.B.) at Bahçeşehir University. She had completed her Master of Laws (LL.M.) at Columbia Law School. She was also a Postdoctoral Research Scholar at Columbia Law School, at the International Investment Center. Dr. Kavame Eroglu has completed her Doctor of the Science of Law (S.J.D.) at Fordham University School of Law where she has also taught Comparative Corporate Law and Comparative Financial Reporting.
She is the Research Theme Coleader of Protecting from Economic Harm and Abuse of Corporate Power at the Centre for Law as Protection, Deakin University. She is also the Co-Chair of the Younger Comparativists Committee (YCC), American Society of Comparative Law (ASCL).
