  • Recent trends in corporate governance and how courts are reshaping directors' duties; what it means to be a shareholder in the 21st century (including topics such as shareholder activism, institutional investors, and nonvoting shares)
  • International financial standard setting and determinants of adoption of those standards at the national level
  • Legal systems, varieties of capitalism, legal transplants, law and development, and the role of institutions
  • Financial system, regulators and regulatory design in Australia: ASIC, APRA, RBA  
  • Fintech, financial inclusion, newfound ways of access to capital such as crowdfunding or alternative ways of credit rating
  • Varying disclosure regimes (financial disclosure, sustainability disclosure, and alternative/newfound ways of disclosure - such as the use of blockchain technology for disclosure) for public and private companies across jurisdictions
