Associate ProfessorHua Yong

I am an Associate Professor of Psychology in the School of Psychology at Deakin. My research focuses on tobacco control, smoking cessation and harm reduction. I use primarily population-based survey data collected over many years and in multiple countries to explore these areas. I'm particularly interested in people's use of e-cigarettes/vapes. I have authored over 150 scientific articles on tobacco and nicotine-related topics. Prior to joining Deakin in 2018, I worked at the Cancer Council Victoria as a senior behavioural scientist from 2011-2017.
