RESEARCH INTERESTS

My research focuses on understanding people who smoke/vape and how tobacco control policies affect them.  I'm also interested in understanding factors influencing the use of nicotine vaping products (aka e-cigarettes) and whether these products have a role to play in smoking cessation.  To explore these areas, I employ advanced analytic techniques (e.g., generalised estimating equations, structural equation modelling, machine learning) to interrogate the data collected using a longitudinal cohort survey in multiple countries over many years.
