RESEARCH INTERESTS

  1. Examining the developmental processes of regulation and play as foundational contributors to resilience in children and families across community and educational settings.
  2. Exploring how play development theory and the neurobiology of play and learning can inform teacher-student relationships and pedagogical practice, to support the holistic development of the child within education systems.
  3. Translating play and play therapy theory into practical frameworks for educators and allied health professionals, strengthening relationship development and developmentally sensitive practice across education and family systems
  4. Advancing public understanding of resilience and play through media engagement and public scholarship, bridging the gap between research evidence and community awareness for children and families.
  5. Investigating how therapeutic assessment can guide clinical reasoning to deliver developmentally appropriate and relationship-focused therapy across community based and school settings.
