DrErica Reeve

Dr Reeve is a leading early career researcher using codesign methodologies to support countries wth designing and adopting measures that can promote healthy and sustainable food systems. Her current work looks at ways that governments could reorient food subsidy measures to promote the production and supply of a diverse range of healthy food, grown in sustainable conditions. In particular, how governments could increase consideration for social, health and environmental dimensions in the procurement of food for public settings (e.g. hospitals, schools and prisons).

Dr Reeve came to research as an experienced policy maker with 18 years’ field experience in food and nutrition policy development and implementation in lower- and middle-income countries (LMICs). She has extensive experience working with and consulting to national and international organisations, and has produced 14 translational reports for UN agencies and the World Bank. She has advanced research skills in action-oriented policy analysis that has enable generic global recommendations to be translated into national policy in 8 countries. Her research has been recognised globally as high quality and having real-world application, as cited by the Asian Development Bank, World Bank, FAO, UNICEF and WHO.
