RESEARCH INTERESTS
I like working with, and for, governments to solve problems around ‘how’ they can advocate and put into place food systems policies that can lead to meaningful changes to the availability, affordability of, and demand for, a diverse and sustainable food supply.
My PhD research showed that policy could play a pivotal role in improving the healthiness of food systems, but translating and operationalising best-practice cross-sectoral policy has proved challenging for countries. Although we have strong evidence on ‘what works’ for promoting healthy and sustainable diets, there is a gap regarding ‘how’ to ensure this evidence is reflected by policy.
