RESEARCH INTERESTS

Nandi is Deputy Director of the Brain Cognitive Development Lab in the School of Psychology. She is Chief Investigator on the Child to Adult Transitions Study at the Centre for Adolescent Health (MCRI), and she leads the neuroimaging sub-study (Imaging of the Child to Adult Transitions Study – Young Adults). She also has several student projects that use openly available datasets, such as the Adolescent Brain Cognitive Development Study. Her current projects investigate the impact of adverse childhood experiences and contemporary adolescent stressors, such as social media, on youth mental health. She is particularly interested in how these social factors interact with biological processes, such as adolescent brain development and pubertal changes, to influence health and wellbeing. Nandi is available to supervise Masters and PhD students on these topics.
