Teaching interests
Dr Oxley has been the unit chair and coordinator for a variety of units offered in Science, Marine and Biomedicine undergraduate programs. Dr Oxley is passionate about sciences and enabling student learning for life outside University in professional practice, and in 2020, he developed and introduced a new Unit - SLE236 Marine Microbiology and Genomics - as part of the Bachelor of Marine Science Course (S337) which incorporates an authentic approach to learning by bringing in real-life approaches (informed from his own research experiences working in government and industry) to assess the microbiome.
