BIO

Roz has over 20 years international experience in education, health and community development across university, school, and charitable sectors. As a recognised as a leader in LGBTI+ inclusion in schools, Roz has driven innovative approaches to school inclusion to improve student and staff wellbeing. Expertise includes working with participatory, qualitative and creative research methods, and practice-based research that centres the voices of students and educators. Roz has led multi-sector collaborations, facilitated professional learning for thousands of teachers, and co-developed resources and policies that have shaped national and state education. Roz's doctoral thesis won the AARE Ray Debus award for Doctoral Research in Education in 2022. Roz is also a qualified primary teacher with classroom experience in the UK and Australian public school sectors. Roz has extensive experience designing and delivering innovative teacher education programs, leading projects, and translating research into practice.
