BIO

Dr Ange Pestell is an early career ecologist that investigates the role of fire on vertebrate diversity in terrestrial ecosystems using conservation technology such as camera and video trapping coupled with artificial intelligence and machine learning tools. Dr Pestell works closely with colleagues in the School of Life and Environmental Sciences at Deakin University, and with scientists across Australia.
