BIO

Kate is an Associate Professor (Research) in the Institute for Health Transformation, Deakin University. She is the Program Director for cross-ector MRFF-funded research program, DELIVER, overseeing more than 60 researchers from over 10 organisations, including universities and health services.  Previously she was a Senior Lecturer (Teaching & Research) in nutrition science at Monash University (0.6 FTE). In 2019, she was awarded a National Health and Medical Research Translating Research into Practice Fellowship (TRIP 2019 -2021 0.5 FTE). Dr Huggins is experienced in conducting randomised controlled trials and observational studies in health services and community settings. She was selected for the National Institutes of Health Implementation and Dissemination science training (USA) and has completed training in Digital Health (Monash University) and Innovation in Health Leadership training (Harvard-Macy).
