TEACHING EXPERTISE
My teaching interests focus on physical education curriculum, pedagogy and assessment.
I am a member of the Bachelor of Health and Physical Education (BHPE) teaching team where I unit chair and teach EEH103 - Foundations of Sport and Exercise Pedagogy and Practice. Additionally, I unit chair EEH304 - Senior Secondary Curriculum in Health and Physical Education.
I also work with final year students in EEH401 - Professional Issues in Health and Physical Education.
I am interested in supporting pre-service teachers develop their content and discipline knowledge, pedagogical content knowledge and curriculum knowledge in the health and physical education curriculum areas. Given my research interests, I also support and challenge Deakin BHPE students to think critically about what and how primary and secondary students engage with knowledge and information about physical activity.
