RESEARCH INTERESTS

HDR Research supervision

 

I am keen and available to supervise research candidates (Honours, Masters of Education/Science/Health, PhD) in areas related to my research interests including:

* Physical education curriculum, pedagogy and assessment

* Student learning of physical activity

* Teacher knowledge of physical activity

* Professional learning

* Physical literacy

* Examination and/or senior secondary physical education

I continue to supervise students and due to my research interests this often

Research interests and areas

 

I have two main research areas of focus:

 

1. Physical education - including student learning about physical activity, teacher knowledge of physical activity, physical literacy, physical education

curriculum, physical education pedagogy and physical education assessment. 

 

2. Teacher education & professional learning - including professional experience, innovative professional experience models of practice, assessment literacy (see recent paper), mentoring during initial teacher education, student experience and school-university partnerships/relationships.
