RESEARCH INTERESTS
My research sits at the nexus of bioengineering, nanotechnology, and advanced cellular engineering, with a central focus on developing mechanobiology-informed platforms for precise and safe cell manipulation. I lead efforts to design and implement mechanical and electroactive nanoinjection systems for intracellular delivery, alongside nanotopographical interfaces that control cell behaviour at the micro- and nanoscale. These technologies enable efficient, non-viral delivery of genetic material—laying the foundation for next-generation strategies in cell reprogramming, genome engineering, and immunotherapy.
Key areas of interest include:
-
Mechanobiology and nano-bio interfaces that direct cell fate and function
-
Non-viral gene delivery technologies for genome editing and cellular reprogramming
-
Stem cell biomanufacturing and the engineering of immune cells for therapeutic use
-
Multiscale micro/nanofabrication for designing instructive cellular environments
-
Translational biomaterials that mimic and modulate the native cellular niche
My group integrates approaches from materials science, synthetic biology, and immunoengineering to address both fundamental biological questions and translational challenges in cell-based therapy and regenerative medicine.
