BIO

Dr Tesfaye Feyissa is a Research Fellow at Deakin University and is conducting research in the area of chronic disease prevention and management. The focus is around gestational diabetes and the prevention of type 2 diabetes mellitus. He has expertise in using various research methods (systematic review, quantitative and qualitative studies) relevant to health services research, and maternal and reproductive health research. His PhD research examined fertility, contraceptive use, and client-provider discussions regarding fertility plans among women living with HIV in western Ethiopia. He also has several years of experience in large data processing tools.
