TEACHING EXPERTISE
Dr Anna Urbanowicz is an experienced educator, research supervisor, and mentor with a strong commitment to developing the next generation of disability researchers. She currently supervises two PhD candidates and two Master's minor project students and has a successful track record of supervising PhD, Master's, and Honours students to completion. Her supervision focuses on fostering research excellence, critical thinking, and meaningful engagement with people with disability, supporting students to undertake rigorous and impactful research that contributes to improved policy, practice, and outcomes.
Anna also contributes to teaching within occupational therapy programs through guest lectures, drawing on her expertise in disability, healthcare, and participatory research. Prior to joining Deakin University and Kids+, she held a lecturing position in occupational therapy, where she taught and mentored undergraduate students.
