BIO

Dr Jenny Murfield is a Research Fellow at the Food & Mood Centre, Deakin University.

Jenny works across projects at the Food & Mood Centre, focusing on research development and research impact within the fields of Nutritional and Lifestyle Psychiatry. She holds a BSc(Hons) in Psychology from the University of Leeds (UK) and a PhD in Complementary Therapies from Griffith University. She has a research background in ageing and dementia, with her PhD exploring the applicability of compassion-based approaches to support the psychological health of family carers of people living with dementia.
