RESEARCH INTERESTS

Jenny has an established research track record, with 70 publications, an h-index of 34, and >3.8K citations (Google Scholar). This includes 49 peer-reviewed journal articles within the areas of ageing, dementia, psychology, and mental health, and 12 commissioned research reports produced for public sector and not-for-profit organisations. 

In her early work, Jenny's research focused on social policy and education, where she undertook research evaluations of many UK Government initiatives, with direct influence on policy. From 2008 onwards, Jenny's research focused broadly within the areas of ageing and dementia, with her PhD exploring the applicability of compassion-based approaches to support the psychological health of family carers of older adults living with dementia. Now at the Food & Mood Centre, Jenny works across multiple projects focusing on research development and research impact within the fields of Nutritional and Lifestyle Psychiatry.
