BIO
I am a social work academic with more than 20 years of community-based practice experience and a strong commitment to strengthening the connections between teaching, research, professional practice and community. My work is grounded in participatory, relational and community-engaged approaches that prepare graduates for contemporary social work while contributing to socially and ecologically just communities.
My research focuses on feminist praxis, eco-social work and participatory methodologies, exploring how knowledge can be developed collaboratively with students, practitioners and community organisations to strengthen social work education, professional practice and responses to complex social and ecological challenges.
Across my teaching, research and leadership, I seek to create opportunities for learning, research and practice that recognise diverse forms of knowledge and build reciprocal partnerships between universities and communities.
