DrDanielle Hradsky

I am an experienced and highly motivated arts educator and early-career researcher. My PhD dissertation explored how embodied pedagogies can support teachers to engage with the supercomplexities of teaching for reconciliation. My current projects include investigating arts-based approaches to climate change education with Deakin's Centre for Regenerating Futures, and implementing a program supporting teachers to engage with Contemporary Indigenous Theatre in primary and secondary schools through a partnership with Bunjil Place and Drama Victoria. My work is shaped by Critical Whiteness Studies and Transformative Learning Theory. I use both qualitative and quantitative research methodologies to understand the complex socio-historical, institutional, and ideological contexts of educational change. I am passionate about holistic education: teaching through the heart, body, and relationships, as well as the mind. I am delighted to be achieving real-world educational outcomes through my work with educators and institutions.
