BIO
I have been always fascinated with the fields of immunology and molecular biology, which later led me to specialize as a molecular medicine researcher.
I completed my Bachelor of Science degree in Sri Lanka, earning first-class honors in immunology and molecular biology. My early research was mostly focused on animal immunology and pharmacology, during which I gained valuable experience in in vivo testing. Currently, my research target has shifted towards cancer immunology where I am designing a leukemia model using CRISPR/Cas technology.
In addition to that I have been networking and developing my leadership skills with the help of the Medical Research Student Association (MRSA), where I am acting as the Communication Officer for 2024.
