BIO

Dr Jesse Shapiro (MPsych(ClinNeuro)/PhD) is a senior paediatric neuropsychologist, board approved supervisor, and lecturer at Deakin University within the School of Psychology. From a research perspective he leads research developing, evaluating, and implementing interventions for children with persisting symptoms post concussion, while through his teaching, he guides trainee psychologists to balance evidence based practices with individualised contexts and care goals. Dr Shapiro works closely with partners to implement his research, and also provides research consultancy support to a number of organisations and start-ups, helping them to develop and demonstrate the evidence base behind their products and services. Dr Shapiro is proud to be currently supervising 1 PhD student, 3 DPsych students, 3 Masters students, and 1 honours student.
