BIO

I am a Lecturer at Punjab University and a PhD candidate at Deakin University, specializing in research on sexual and domestic violence, migration, and men's studies. My academic journey has been dedicated to understanding and addressing pressing social issues, particularly those affecting marginalized communities. I am proud to have graduated with distinction in both my M.Phil. and BS (Hons.) degrees, earning recognition as a Gold medalist of my graduating class.
My research has focused extensively on the lived experiences of individuals facing adversity. Notably, I have conducted groundbreaking studies on the experiences of Afghan refugee women in Pakistan, shedding light on the unique challenges they encounter and their remarkable resilience in navigating complex sociocultural contexts.
Furthermore, I have explored the dynamics of gender roles and stereotypes in my research on men in female-dominated professions. Through both qualitative and quantitative methodologies, I have gained valuable insights into how men negotiate traditional gender norms in professional settings.
Beyond academia, I am deeply committed to driving positive change through engagement with advocacy groups, policymakers, and the wider community. By promoting gender equality, social justice, and the empowerment of marginalized groups, I strive to contribute to a more inclusive and equitable society.
As a lecturer and researcher, I am passionate about inspiring critical thinking and fostering dialogue among students, colleagues, and collaborators. Together, we can envision a future where all individuals are free from violence, discrimination, and oppression.
