MrsVirangi Mendis

Virangi Mendis is a PhD candidate in Management at Deakin University and a Graduate Researcher Teaching Fellow in Deakin Business School, with teaching experience across both Australia and Sri Lanka. Her work is grounded in higher education teaching, curriculum development, student support, and academic service, with a particular strength in delivering engaging learning experiences across a broad range of business and management disciplines.

Her doctoral research focuses on work amotivation, and she has an emerging research profile supported by peer-reviewed publications and conference engagement. She was also the runner-up and People’s Choice winner in the 2024 Faculty of Business and Law Three Minute Thesis (3MT) competition at Deakin University, reflecting her ability to communicate complex research clearly and engagingly to a broad audience. In addition, she served as the ANZAM 2025 Doctoral Representative, where she played a leading role in organising the ANZAM 2025 Doctoral Workshop and supporting the wider doctoral research community. Through her combined teaching and research experience, she is committed to contributing to student learning, scholarly development, and impactful academic practice.
