BIO

I am a Lecturer in the School of Information Technology at Deakin University, with research and teaching interests across artificial intelligence, machine learning, natural language processing, software engineering, software repository mining, microservices, data analytics and computing education.

My research focuses on developing intelligent, data-driven approaches to understand, improve and automate software engineering processes. I have worked on software repository mining, mobile app analytics, microservice identification, text analytics, machine learning applications, and AI-based decision support systems. More recently, my work has expanded into generative AI, retrieval-augmented generation, agentic AI and the use of large language models for software engineering and educational innovation.

As an education-focused academic, I am also strongly interested in inclusive and evidence-informed teaching practices. My teaching philosophy is centred on active learning, feedback literacy, real-world problem solving and student partnership. I aim to design learning experiences that help students connect technical knowledge with practical, ethical and industry-relevant applications.
