BIO
I am associate professor within the Researcher Development Academy and also a research fellow with the Centre for Research in Assessment and Digital Learning. I deliver Deakin's supervisor development program supporting all reserach supervisors and providing quality workshops and training opportunities to further enhance the research culture. As a philosopher I approach conceptual questions concerning research, supervision and pedagogy in such a way to help bring about conceptual clarity and understanding. Relatedly, the genAI context in which we find ourselves operating as researchers and supervisors has brought about a need to think critically about such technology use and the impact it has upon our appreciation of human concepts such as logic, language and meaning. It is to these features that my CRADLE fellowship is concerned and particularly the ways in which supervisors and graduate researchers are navigating this new context.
