RESEARCH INTERESTS
I work where lived experience meets policy. My interdisciplinary research sits across education, migration, youth, queer studies, decoloniality and work. My current project—Exploring Intersectionality: Navigating Education and Employment Pathways for Queer Youth Seeking International Protection in Australia—examines how migration status, sexuality, gender and race shape access to schooling, skills, and decent work, and what institutions can redesign to close those gaps.
Building from this, I’m expanding my interests from social justice to global governance, with a focus on how polarisation and extremism (right or left) reconfigure youth futures, institutional trust, and evidence-based decision-making. The curiosity driving this stream questions:
- Is the left a remedy for far-right failures—or does each reproduce its own blind spots?
- Where should universities stand to safeguard evidence, pluralism and equity?
Across projects, I centre anti-racist, anti-homophobic, decolonial practice and aim for translation into policy and institutional change.
