BIO

A recognised leader in generative AI for education, Dr Elizabeth Black works at the intersection of academic development and emerging technologies, guiding curriculum innovation across disciplines. Their research explores student conceptual models, agency and collaboration through sociotechnical lenses, with expertise in repertory grid methodologies and the use of WebGrid software to surface tacit pedagogical knowledge.

 

As an experienced academic in the fields of learning design, assessment strategy, and technology-enhanced pedagogy, Elizabeth has led Communities of Practice, contributed to national conversations on AI and assessment integrity, and developed scalable systems for curriculum mapping and interactive oral assessment design.
