BIO

Dr Chathuranga Kiramage is a Deakin University Postdoctoral Research Fellow specialising in molecular biology and host-pathogen interactions. His current research centres on ubiquitin-mediated regulation of infectious diseases, with on going work investigating how malaria parasites exploit host cellular machinery. He has published 46 peer-reviewed articles, including papers in leading journals such as The EMBO Journal and Cell Communication and Signaling. Dr Kiramage has received several recognitions for research excellence, including the Chungnam National University Excellent Performance Award (2021) and the Best Oral Presentation Award at the Korean Society for Biochemistry and Molecular Biology International Conference (2024). He actively contributes to the scientific community through editorial roles, conference organisation, and mentoring, and continues to build an international research profile in molecular and cellular biology.
