Andrew is accredited with the Higher Education Academy (UK), achieved when he was employed by the Defence Services Department, King's College London (located within the Defence Academy of the UK at Watchfield, in Britain).

 

Macquarie University

 

  • PICT1011 New Security Challenges (previously "Security in an Age of Risk") – normally around 400-500 students per year
  • PICT 8043 International Terrorism (previously "International Policing and Counter Terrorism") - postgraduate course attended every year by 50-100 senior security officials and commanders from across the Indo-Pacific
  • PICT 915 Humanitarian Intervention and Peacekeeping - postgraduate course attended by senior military and police commanders from across the Indo-Pacific, many with peacekeeping experience
  • PICT 8047 Supervised Project in Security Studies (postgraduate)

Postgraduate Supervision

 

Andrew successfully supervised to completion many masters degree students (in Singapore and at Kings College London / Joint Services Command and Staff College, UK) and 10 PhD students (University of New South Wales and Macquarie University). Andrew has had a 100% pass rate for all PhD students supervised (including 2 who had made no progress or failed at other universities). 

 

Note however that I no longer supervise masters or PhD theses in my current role at Deakin.
