RESEARCH INTERESTS

I am particularly interested in disentangling the relative contributions of sex hormones and sex chromosome complement to musculoskeletal health. My research integrates human molecular evidence with advanced animal models, including transgenic systems that allow the separation of hormonal and chromosomal influences, to better understand sex-specific ageing trajectories. This work aims to address critical gaps in understanding female musculoskeletal ageing and to identify conserved biological pathways that drive muscle and bone decline.
