RESEARCH INTERESTS
Dr Krishnamurthi’s research focuses on understanding materials from a fundamental perspective and combining it with advanced characterisation techniques to develop next-generation functional materials and devices. Her research is especially centred on liquid metals, its interfaces, atomically thin layers, and defects, and their role in enabling new electronic and optoelectronic functionalities. More recently, her research interests have expanded toward the integration of artificial intelligence-assisted approaches, quantum-inspired technologies, and emerging cyber-physical applications for advanced materials and intelligent electronic systems.
