My teaching experience began at Paul University, Awka, Nigeria, in May 2019, where I worked as a University lecturer following my employment as a Graduate Assistant in the Department of History and International Relations. In this role, I taught undergraduate students across the 100-, 200-, and 300-levels in courses including African Women in History, Power and Diplomacy in International Relations, and The Military in African Politics. Alongside classroom teaching, I graded assessments, mentored students, supported faculty with curriculum and research activities, and introduced regular discussions of contemporary global affairs to help students connect theoretical concepts with developments in international politics.

I subsequently broadened my teaching practice through the Robert K. Greenleaf Center for Servant Leadership in the United States, where I worked as a Research Associate and supported the design and delivery of a leadership curriculum for pre-college and university students at Seton Hall University. I developed teaching materials, facilitated interactive classes on servant leadership, supported assessment and classroom administration, and contributed to creating a structured learning environment that encouraged participation, reflection and leadership development.

My teaching has also extended beyond the conventional classroom into public policy education and experiential learning. Through The Public Policy Shapers, a civic-tech organization in Nigeria, I designed and delivered training sessions for tertiary-level students participating in the Naija Policy Hackathon. These sessions introduced students to policy-oriented research, problem identification, evidence-based policymaking and policy advocacy.

A further dimension of my teaching and mentoring has involved contributing to the development of academic cybersecurity programs. At Seton Hall University in New Jersey, United States, I founded and led the university's first cross-disciplinary team for the Geneva Cyber 9/12 Strategy Challenge in 2022, bringing together students from diplomacy, business, and law and guiding them through cybersecurity crisis simulations, strategic analysis, policy writing, and presentations. The team reached the semifinal stage of the global competition, and the initiative contributed to the subsequent development of cybersecurity student programming at the university. I later introduced the same program to the Federal University of Technology, Owerri (FUTO) in Nigeria in 2025, where I recruited and mentored a multidisciplinary student team and prepared participants to analyse complex cyber-policy scenarios within a global competitive environment.

I taught across these different settings with a consistent emphasis on strengthening critical thinking, encouraging interdisciplinary thinking, interdisciplinary collaboration, research capability, and professional development. Collectively, my experience spans technology, management, leadership, public policy, and international relations, and informs my current teaching interests in technology and organisations, digital transformation, leadership, strategy, and the development of students’ analytical and professional capabilities.
