My teaching experience and academic career began in May 2019 at Paul University, Awka, a private university in Nigeria, where I was employed as a Graduate Assistant and subsequently as a University Lecturer in the Department of History and International Relations. I taught undergraduate students at the 100-, 200-, and 300-levels in courses covering history, politics, power, diplomacy and international relations. My responsibilities included curriculum development, classroom instruction, student assessment and research activities. I also integrated contemporary global developments into classroom discussions to strengthen students' critical thinking and analytical capabilities.

At Seton Hall University in New Jersey, United States, I founded and led the university's first interdisciplinary cybersecurity team for the Geneva Cyber 9/12 Strategy Challenge in 2022. This initiative brought together students from diplomacy, business, and law to engage in cybersecurity crisis simulations, strategic analysis, policy development and decision-making in complex technological and geopolitical environments. Under my leadership, the team reached the semifinals of the international competition and the initiative contributed to the subsequent development of cybersecurity student programming at the university. In 2025, I extended this initiative to the Federal University of Technology, Owerri (FUTO), Nigeria, where I established and led a multidisciplinary student team, introducing participants to cybersecurity policy, crisis management and strategic decision-making through an international competitive framework.

I further developed my teaching experience as a Research Associate with the Robert K. Greenleaf Center for Servant Leadership in the United States, where I contributed to the design and delivery of a leadership curriculum for pre-college and university students at Seton Hall University. My responsibilities included developing instructional materials, facilitating interactive learning activities, supporting student assessment and promoting participatory approaches to leadership development.

Beyond university teaching, I have contributed to public policy education through The Public Policy Shapers, a civic-tech organisation in Nigeria. I designed and delivered training sessions for tertiary-level students participating in the Naija Policy Hackathon, focusing on policy research, problem identification, evidence-based policymaking and policy advocacy. These activities encouraged collaborative problem-solving and the practical application of research to contemporary governance and policy challenges. 

Across these academic and professional settings, my teaching approach emphasises interdisciplinary learning, critical thinking, research-informed instruction, experiential learning and the application of theoretical knowledge to practical challenges. As a PhD researcher in Management at Deakin University, focusing on technology and digital transformation, my teaching interests lie at the intersection of technology, society, organisations and management. These include digital transformation, artificial intelligence in organisations, technology adoption, organisational change, leadership, strategy and the management of emerging technologies.

I believe that education should not only equip students with the knowledge and skills to navigate a rapidly changing world but also inspire them to question established assumptions, embrace new possibilities and contribute meaningfully to shaping the future. My aspiration is to foster learning environments where intellectual curiosity, independent thinking and practical problem-solving empower students to become thoughtful leaders and agents of positive change in their professions and communities.
