RESEARCH INTERESTS

Dr Fox's research applied biomechanics, modelling and simulation methods to understand human movement. His work uses three-dimensional analyses, musculoskeletal and finite element modelling, and predictive simulations to advance knowledge around sporting performance and injury risk — with a primary focus on knee injury mechanisms (e.g. anterior cruciate ligament injury, patellofemoral pain), chronic running pathologies (e.g. patellofemoral pain, tibial stress fractures), and improving footwear design and function to reduce injury risk and pain.
