RESEARCH INTERESTS
Professor Maria Forsyth pioneered the discovery, fundamental chemistry and application of novel electrolyte materials. Her research focuses on explaining the phenomenon of charge transport at metal/electrolyte interfaces and within electrolyte materials, including a range of ionic liquids, polymer electrolytes and plastic crystals. Professor Forsyth's research provides deep understanding of the behaviour of these remarkable materials in applications ranging from clean energy storage to corrosion prevention technologies.
