BIO
Abbas Kouzani received the B.Sc. degree in computer engineering from Sharif University of Technology, the M.Eng. degree in electrical and electronics engineering from the University of Adelaide, and the Ph.D. degree in electrical and electronics engineering from Flinders University. He was a Lecturer with the School of Engineering, Deakin University, and then a Senior Lecturer with the School of Electrical Engineering and Computer Science, University of Newcastle. Currently, he is a Professor with the School of Engineering, Deakin University. He has been involved in over $22 million research grants, produced over 550 publications, holds 4 patents and has 3 patent applications pending. He has led research and consultancy for over 40 Australian and international companies. He has produced over 40 PhD and 10 Master by Research completions. He is the Director of Smart Technologies Research Theme within the School of Engineering at Deakin University.
