RESEARCH INTERESTS
Dr Jackson's main research interests lie in the area of Health Epidemiology, Systems thinking, community-based systems dynamics and implementation science.
Dr. Jackson's contributions have been pivotal in numerous large-scale population studies and intervention projects conducted within esteemed research entities like GLOBE, the Institute for Health and Social Development (IHT), and the Centre for Physical Activity and Nutrition (C-PAN). Noteworthy among the projects Dr Jackson has managed or is currently managing are STAIR (Systems Thinking with Active Implementation Research), RESPOND (Reflexive Evidence and Systems interventions to Prevent Obesity and Non-communicable Disease), the Women's and Children's Health Study (READI), the Picture Project, the Health Eating and Play Study (HEAPS), the Children's Leisure Activities Study (CLASS / CLAN), PATCH (Parents Advocating Towards Children's Health), and mHealth and Empower (utilising mobile App technology in health).
