RESEARCH INTERESTS

Associate Professor Lata Satyen's research program focuses on prevention, intervention and recovery programs that address family, domestic and sexual violence. She also specialises in developing culturally appropriate frameworks to address violence in culturally diverse communities. She is focused on improving outcomes for victim-survivors of family violence through the translation of research findings, changes to policy and practice, and advocacy at the state and national levels. She collaborates with a broad cross-section of victim-survivor groups and organisations in the family violence sector to conduct research and training to support a safer community and reduce violence against women and children.
