RESEARCH INTERESTS

Matthew has a diverse range of research interests, including:
* The use of performance- and image-enhancing drugs, including anabolic-androgenic steroids
* The use of novel/emerging psychoactive substances, such as synthetic cannabinoids and synthetic stimulants
* Monitoring illicit drug markets
* Reducing problematic substance use
* Issues pertaining to illicit drug and alcohol use among elite athletes
* Harms related to substance use
* Exercise, sport and physical activity

Knowledge Areas
Matthew specialises in researching substance use and harm, specifically performance and image enhancing drugs, monitoring trends in use and harm, as well as emerging/novel psychoactive drugs, and ecstasy and related drugs.
