RESEARCH INTERESTS

My research interests focus on exploring hate-driven behaviours across a spectrum, from daily micro-aggressions to hate crime and terrorism, with a strong emphasis on the following areas:

  • Prejudice and violence against groups defined by religion, ethnicity, race, nationality, Indigeneity, gender, sexuality, sex, disability, homelessness
  • Interdisciplinary approaches combining social sciences and data science
  • Development of new measurement tools and databases for hate and extremism
  • Systematic reviews and empirical research to expand knowledge
  • Evaluation and impact assessment of interventions against hate crime and extremism
  • Integrating AI and social media data with survey research
