RESEARCH INTERESTS
Dr Hutchinson's major research interest is in understanding the developmental
origins of mental and behavioural disorders.

Dr Hutchinson's major projects include:
1. [Scientific Director of the Triple B Pregnancy Cohort Study](http://ndarc.med.unsw.edu.au/project/triple-b-bumps-babies-and-beyond), funded ~$2.5M through the NHMRC and Australian Rotary Health to examine the developmental origins of childhood psychosocial adjustment problems;
2. [Academic Leader of the Australian Unity and Deakin University Partnership](http://www.acqol.com.au/projects#our-projects), which aims to examine the wellbeing of Australian adults through cross-sectional and longitudinal national wellbeing surveys;
3. [Co-Convenor of the Australian Research Alliance for Children and Youth (ARACY) Longitudinal Studies Network](https://lifecourse.org.au). This network brings together 50+ longitudinal studies of child and adolescent health and development;
4. [Academic Leader of Developmental Attachment Studies on the Australian Temperament Project Generation 3 Study](https://www.melbournechildrens.com/atp/gen-3/) (35-year longitudinal cohort study) and;
5. [Co-Founder and Co-Director of the Cannabis Cohorts Research Consortium](https://ndarc.med.unsw.edu.au/node/300000024): a cross-cohort collaboration that brings together researchers from six major longitudinal studies in Australasia to examine the causes and consequences of cannabis exposure.
