RESEARCH INTERESTS

Knowledge Areas:
Motorcycle protective clothing, circular economy, textile recycling, dyeing and colouration, melt extrusion, hemp, short staple spinning, technical textiles and textile technology

- CI on Uluu project undertaking the melt extrusion and optimisation of textiles from the Uluu seaweed derived polymer.
- CI on Michell Wool project developing EQwool™ yarns and fabrics.

- CI on Traffic Accident Commission/Transport for NSW project undertaking research on protective motorcycle gear.
• Mud to Marle project with Full Circle Fibres, Loomtex and Country Road developing a low environmental impact yarn and fabrics from EQwool™.

• CI on Samsara Eco project undertaking the synthesis, melt extrusion and optimisation of textiles from recycled nylon.

• CI on Salvo's project on recycling of post consumer textile fibres.
